London Trip…. Part 4: Parrots!

While going back though St. James park on our way to Trafalgar Square, we spotted a bright green bird flying overhead, which needless to say, was a bit unexpected.

Luckily I was able to catch a few shots of this unexpected parrot, otherwise I suspect it would of been tough to get anyone to believe us.

A quick trip to Google, searching ‘Green parrots in London’, informed me that there’s a lot of them around, anywhere from 6,000 up to 50,000!!! They’re Kingston parakeets according to the internet, and while there doesn’t seem to be one definite explanation where they came from originally, it was pretty neat to spot them while we were there.

Next: Trafalgar Square and the National Gallery

More words (and lions) later!
